Take time and look around, perhaps you will get to see these words hanging on their wall: “Real food takes time”, “Healthy is the new sexy”~ some words to live by… I’ve arrived at 6:35pm, ordered by 6:40pm. Drinks arrived by 6:50pm, food arrived by 6:55pm.

Australian Beef Sliced Soba (RM24.90)

I’ve been craving beef for awhile now, and when I saw the combination of soba (buckwheat noodles) with beef, I thought to myself, this dish could hardly go wrong, and I was right. If you asked would I recommend this dish? Yes, I would:

  • I’ve added Tobiko fish roe just because it is my favourite~
  • The egg yolk is quite well done and didn’t “ooz” out tho for a poached egg… I was expecting a “runny” yolk when I burst it (haha)
  • The beef was soft and I would say it is medium done.
  • The soba was appetising with the help of the shoyu sesame dressing.
  • The seasonal vegetables given was turmeric cauliflower, sweet potatoes and pumpkin.

Remember to mix well before consuming, by doing so the taste will be more balanced.

Overall taste: 8/10
Calories: 898 kcal
Add on: Tobiko fish roe RM3

NUTRITION

Beef:

  • Protein: Red meat which is high in iron and zinc. Promotes muscle maintenance and growth.
  • Healthy fats: It has fatty acid called Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) which believes to aid weight loss.

Buckwheat noodles: For maximum nutrition, get 100 percent buckwheat.

  • Manganese: One cup of soba noodles has 0.4mg of manganese. Important for glucose metabolism, wound healing and bone health, and supports nervous system.
  • Gluten-free: A great alternative to noodles and pasta made from wheat
  • Protein: One cup of cooked soba has 6g of protein

Premium Chai Latte (RM14)

As a fan of Chai or Masala Tea, I find this cup of Chai latte not spicy at all, but sweet. They serve with Almond Mylk, therefore it is lactose-free (maybe this is the reason is sweet too). What’s cute? It comes with a sieve to filter the ingredients while I could drink the beverage smoothly.

The Chai ingredients are from an Australian company called Prana Chai (www.pranachai.asia).

Overall taste: 5/10
Calories: 102 kcal
Dietary requirements: Gluten-free, lactose-free, vegan

Will I recommend this? Yes, if you are okay with sweet endings. No, if you don’t like sweet chai like me, I prefer spicy ones.

7:30pm on a Monday night, with a crowd of 20plus people dining in the restaurant. I think it was a decent crowd for this area. The restaurant welcomes working young adults, gym enthusiasts, some looked like residence nearby by the way they dressed.
